Fine art photography puts a priority on the visual appeal of the image. Its primary purpose is to express emotions, ideas and opinions. When effective, it will engage the viewer and serve as a catalyst for further emotions, ideas and opinions.
While all photography can be esthetically pleasing, commercial photography, event photography, and photojournalism exist for the purpose of selling a product, or to keep a record of events.
I focus on the artistic and creative aspects of photography by using different types of films and alternative processes. These include traditional 35 mm film, digital imaging, infrared film, high dynamic range imaging, and Polaroid transfers. My subject matter has a wide range, including still life, scenic images, portraits, and even surreal images. Click “view portfolio” at the top of the page to see some of my unique work.
